Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026
By creating an account or using The Homeschool Edit™ you agree to these terms. Please read them — they're written to be understandable, not to trick anyone.
1. Membership
A membership grants one household a personal, non-transferable licence to use the platform for educating the children in that household. Accounts may not be shared between families, co-ops, or organizations without a separate agreement.
2. Free trial
New members receive a 7-day free trial. Payment details are collected when the trial begins. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your monthly membership starts automatically at the rate shown at signup.
3. Billing
Memberships bill monthly in advance through our payment processor until cancelled. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice to existing members. Applicable taxes may be added.
If a payment fails, we'll retry and notify you. Access may be paused until billing is resolved.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your billing portal. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.
5. Refunds
Because every member receives a full 7-day trial before any charge, monthly fees are generally non-refundable. We handle genuine mistakes and billing errors fairly — contact us.
6. Acceptable use
- Don't use the platform for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive.
- Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the service.
- Don't resell, redistribute, or publicly republish platform features or bulk generated content as your own product.
- Don't upload content you don't have the right to upload.
7. Intellectual property
The platform, its design, branding, and underlying software remain the property of The Homeschool Edit™. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of the curriculum, notes, uploads, and student information you add. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that content in order to operate the service for you.
9. AI-generated content
You may use AI-generated lessons, worksheets, and resources freely within your own homeschool. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete and must be reviewed by you before use. See the AI Disclaimer.
10. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including educational outcomes.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated to members. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
